Therezia & Tomás
During the first months of lockdown 2020 in Portugal, Therezia had the chance to travel around Portugal and with her she brought the meditation stool that was gifted to her a while back. This piece brought her beautiful conversations about mindfulness and new insights that her friends were having in consequence of covid-19 lockdown. She considered these conversations as a gift and wanted to give back. Therezia invited Tomás to partner with her in this journey and to be the producer of the wooden stools since he is a renowned cabinet maker and has an incredible joinery workshop in Cascais. Tomás, that never meditated sitting down in the lotus position but naturally meditates everyday with the ocean and whilst working with wood; he accepted the partnership without asking almost any details.
"Does that mean i'm going to be a meditation master?" he asked.

D. Conceição
Dona Conceição, a woman weaver based in the north of Portugal is our master weaver of our magic carpets to be placed under the meditation stool. The carpet symbolizes earth and your space whilst meditating. The carpets are made with 100% cotton rags from the leftovers of the big textile companies in the north. After going through technical issues with her (we now speak through her neighbours tablet so we can video call and choose the colours) she is all set and we are always very excited to receive her carpets. Sr. Rui
Sr Rui, a pottery master based in São Pedro do Corval, the pottery epicentre of Portugal, is making our candle base and sage holders. He grins and reminds me that the candle bases are all made by hand - "and so are the candles" we say. "So, if the candles don't fit properly in the candle base, it's the candles fault!" he replies. But they do.
Filipe
Filipe, an incredibly talented musician friend very connected with himself and an avid meditation practitioner accepted the invitation to make a playlist for this project of ours. Thank you Filipe for your beautiful energy and your taste in music that connects it all together.
